Assignment 1: MDG

Among the 8 goals of MDG, “ensure environmental sustainability” is more close to my heart because I consider our environment as the most important part which we have to pay attention to,for it is the most adaptive settlement field for people's lives. When it comes to development, certain problems in our environment that we should have to develop the sustainability....explicitly, safe drinking water and basic sanitation, reversion of the loss of the environmental resources, and reduction of biodiversity loss.

Mindanao War -- a photo exhibit

The photos that were shown in the exhibit are very disappointing, not with how the pictures were captured but by the images that tell the pain of the innocents, the chaotic condition and the anxieties of the people in it. --at first glance of the photos, you may wonder how the photographers took the pictures with the MILF (it was a close encounter) the most sikat terrorism group in the Philippines and they're known internationally. Many pinoys are afraid of them even the foreigners whose supposedly the big help for our tourism industry :( Just the thought of the MILF makes me sick but the pecojon pips are very admirable coz of their bravery.. More Power guys! :)

Dear Ate Charo,

It’s so hirap talaga to study in UP, the University of the Poor. You know, I never wanted to study here. But my parents kasi, they both went to UP and they said na it was the best school talaga. Eh ‘di I went.But no! When I got there, Holy horrors! I was ready to make himatay after the first day pa lang. Would you believe, there’s no aircon na nga in the classrooms, the fan doesn’t work pa. And then this guy who was like,wearing a sando, shorts and tsinelas lang made tabi next to me. He made pakilala pa! The nerve! So I made takbo to the CR to make tago. But I couldn’t make hugas my hands that were so pawis from escaping such anear-death experience. There was no liquid soap! Not even a couchwhere I could sit to make kikay.Do you feel my pain na ba? But wait, there’s more. Last Thursday kasi Daddy’s Volvo was bawal, eh the Eclipse was being repaired, so I had to make sakay with my yaya in the Ikot jeep. It was so siksik! I couldlike, smell the putok of the girl next to me. Like, it was sobrang mabaho talaga. Kasi naman, the Ikot jeeps are old na nga, they’re mainit pa!Sana they make palit na the jeeps with a shuttle system. Okey langnaman even if there’s an increase in pamasahe ‘di ba? So when the car isbawal, I can use my credit card na to make bayad.Isa pa, you know the Shopping Center? It’s so kadiri talaga. I’m forcedna nga to make Xerox there, (as if naman I could be caught in that placeotherwise) pero I’m so inis because it’s so maliit and madilim, and mostof the stalls don’t have aircon. They should tear it down na and build amall na lang. Then I wouldn’t have to go to Katipunan pa to get my Starbucks fix.My gosh, this place is so bulok I don’t know nga why anyone would bothermaking turo here pa. Just yesterday, my professor was kinda inis kasi her whiteboard marker had no more tinta! Then she tried to make hanap a matino whiteboard marker but of course there was none. Duh! Kasi naman if we had laptops instead of desks in every classroom there would beno more need or whiteboards diba? But you know even if there were laptops na,the seats are so tigas sometimes I find it mahirap to concentrate.Dapat may cushioning para malambot sa butt, like Downy.Now I’m in my third year na. I don’t want to stay in this place anymore.I don’t give a paki if UP’s the best university here. I’m going to transfer to XU, where the CRs have liquid soap. Now na!

DC1--our first meeting.

new faces, new set of friends, new instructor and of cors new things to be learned. everyone seems so excited about the course. during the first meeting, we were asked to introduce ourselves in front of our classmates and guess what? the nerve! what a stage fright! i cant even talk clearly and words are almost not coming out in my mouth haha but fortunately, i was able to do it.
i don't really have expectations about the course and to our instructor, i just want it to be spontaneous. it would be much exciting if we just let things happen. ryt? hehe the thing is, i would do my role as a student responsibly so i would be able to pass this crucial subject (daw?). hehe -- char lang gud uy! :)
